Dutch Circular Design is a foundation with the aim of stimulating the circular economy by promoting circular design products. Because for many people the circular economy is abstract, invisible and therefore not tangible and difficult to believe in.

CIRCULAR DESIGN PRODUCTS
Design products are able to touch people’s hearts and put their heads to work. But in order to bring the circular economy closer, they must have a clear signature: you must be able to see through the design that the product consists of parts that have had a previous purpose. And the products need to have the opportunity to become a commercial success, to be able to scale up. These design products shouldn’t be one offs, but accessible as an alternative to more polluting non-circular products.

GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS AND PRODUCT DESIGNERS UNITE
In order to promote these icons, these new heroes, we have to work together; government, industry and product designers. Government is needed to make things possible and to make connections. The business community to give assignments to designers to discover the possibilities of their own waste flows and to create successful partnerships. And ofcourse product designers with their Dutch Circular Design products, who often work at small companies that have the potential to become successful scale ups.
